As a result of efforts from FRCOG, Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, the Department of Conservation & Recreation, and area residents, we now have a report that documents what Bernardston is all about - its scenic character, farmland, to name a few. Please take a moment to view the findings. To learn more about what this program is about and to view the Heritage Landscape Inventory Report (cover sheet below), go to the Department of Conservation & Recreation website at: www.mass.gov/dcr/stewardship/histland/essex.htm scroll down the page to the CT River Valley Round 1 section and click on 'Bernardston' to view the Bernardston report. Click on the 'Heritage Landscape Program' on the upper left of their website to learn more about the program.

Much thanks to the contribution from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office for providing us with the printing services and to Maggie Haigis for her generous donation of time. It is greatly appreciated. To get the deadline for each issue, please contact the Administrative Assistant at the Town Hall. No editorial/opinion content will be accepted. Be as brief as possible as space could be limited. Any questions, comments or suggestions, please contact Administrative Assistant Rebecca Jurek (648-5401) or volunteer Maggie Haigis by phone.
POSTING OF YOUR EVENT: If you wish to have your event listed on the Town website, please let us know. Please keep in mind that this section is for community activities, not Town committee and board meetings. See Meeting Schedule or Calendar page for those postings.
